Barley porridge

....Powder the barley like rava.
... put 1:1  glass of water n milk in a vessel , when it starts boiling add 2 tsp barley rava. ( which mixed with cool milk).
... put soft dates in a blender , n just run the mixi.  Don't make fine paste.
... when it cooked  switch off flame , add dates paste according to taste n mix it.
...Can add soaked  n chopped dry fruits.

* according to taste n  consistency can vary the quantity of milk , water n barley rava.

1. I cup jonnapindi ,

2. 2 cup dry roasted Groundnuts ( make crunchy ), 

3. 2 tsp nuvvula pudi, 

4. 10 green chillies paste, required palak paste. 


Mix all ingredients n make small balls , can press in a presser n roast on tava ( chapathi penamu ) in full low flame.


* It has to roast  very slowly. Can do 7 to 8 at a time. Can roast on 2 tavas. 

* When roasting can keep  one aluminium plate between flame n tava. This avoid over roasting ( madakunda).

* It stays for nearly 1 month,  has to store in a air tight container.

Healthy Dry Fruits Laddu

Raw Approach


1. Take Food Processor.
2. Add 1 CUP Almonds
3. Add 1 CUP Cashew Nuts.
4. Add 1/2 CUP Walnuts.
5. Add 1/2 CUP Pista.
6. Add 1 TABLE SPOON Poppy Seeds.
7. Add 1/4 CUP Flax Seeds.
8. Add 1/4 CUP Raisins.
9. Add 15 - 20 Medjool Dates (Remove the Pits). (Based on How much sweet you want.)
10. Add 4 - 5 Anjeera Dried.
11. Add 4 -5 Elachi's Powder.
12. Add Any other Nuts what ever you like. (But Do not Add Peanuts and Sesame If you want to see Sesame and Peanut Laddu recepies look at my other links given at the end).


Preparation:


Blend all above in Food Processor in a coarse texture until you can make laddu (balls) with the mixture. If still not farming the ball add more dates (or) add some honey.


I usually eat this for 2 weeks also.


Cooked Approach


1. Same all above ingredients except (Raisins, Dates and Anjeera).
2. Heat the pan add Ghee (or) oil (or) Dry fry these nuts in the pan.
3. Powder all the nuts to coarse texture.
4. Puree the Dates , raisins, anjeera in blender.
5. Add the paste to the Nuts powder and heat the pan to mix and add honey.
6. Once the paste is ready put it in Plate and cut like pieces.

Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookies (From www.mindbodygreen.com)


Ingredients
1.5 cups cooked chickpeas or one 15 oz can
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup agave
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips, carob chips or cacao nibs

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine chickpeas, peanut butter, vanilla extract, agave, baking powder and salt in blender until mostly smooth. The batter will be a little thick so you may need to scrape the sides down a couple of times. Transfer batter to a medium bowl and mix in oats and chocolate.

Wet hands and roll batter into balls about 1.5″ thick. Place on baking sheet 1″ apart. Use the palm of your hand to slightly flatten balls on top.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, until cookies are firm on edges. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before enjoying. Makes about 16 cookies.

Baked Cinnamon Apples

Baked Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients:
10 apples - cored, peeled and sliced thinly
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)
1 dash salt
1 dash nutmeg

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Place cut and peeled apples in a mixing bowl and gently mix all the ingredients together.
3. Put apples in a non-stick pan, cover, and place in the oven. (Note: You can just mix the ingredients together in the pan if it’s non-stick. Or, you can coat the pan with a little margarine first to prevent sticking.)
4. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring at least once every 15 minutes.
5. Once the apples are soft, cook for a few more minutes to thicken the cinnamon sauce.

Healthy Jilledu kaya sweet


Ingredients: -

1. Dates Paste
2. Grated coconut
3. Brown Rice Rava
4. Milk

Preparation:

1. Cook brown rice ravva with milk and water 
 
2. Cook coconut with dates paste
 
3. Make coconut and dates balls
 
4. Keep these in brown rice cooked layer
 
5. Put these balls into idly cooker and cook.
